Make your products and services more age-friendly

What is FAITh?

FAITh aims to combat the digital marginalisation of adults 55+ by enhancing their capacities and building their trust and confidence to use internet and digital technologies to transact online. The two-year project is funded by the ERASMUS+ Programme of the European Union and is the common effort of 7 partner organisations from Belgium, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy, and Portugal.

The innovative aspect of FAITh is that it seeks to build a robust support network engaging volunteer peers, the family environment, the community, and the local market in an effort to facilitate the use, and ultimately adoption, of ICT in the everyday life of older adults.

The partner organisations have been working on the development of a novel capacity building programme that builds on the principles of motivation and support. And the involvement of local businesses and service providers will be key in this regard.

Why get involved?

Research and experience show that a number of businesses and services have often limited reach to a specific segment of their clientele. Many of the products and services they offer – especially online – have often limited appeal to older adults.

FAITh aims to bridge the digital divide by offering businesses and service providers the opportunity to gain better insights on the needs and attitudes of older clients, supporting them in creating age-friendly online products that would boost their access to older customers.

To that end, representatives of that local business and service providers will have the opportunity to join the FAITh project and take part in a series of informational and training events on the concept of age-friendly environments. The participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the needs of older adults and ways to make their products and services in line with older adults’ needs and wants.
